UNIAMO LE ENERGIE, one of the most important conferences on a national level regarding environmental and sustainability issues, took place in Turin on October 7- 11, 2009: Five days of meetings, discussions and workshops united under the slogan "Support the future".

On this occasion, THE VEGETATION REVOLUTION was one of the main attractions of the ‘fair’ with its two separate events.

There were also two large screens (which were also completely made up of vegetation) where filmed sequences were projected of VANDANA SHIVA and MICHELANGELO PISTOLETTO, as well as a vision of the city of the future and some micro-documentaries made expressly for the occasion.

The event was a great success both with the audience and the press: THE VEGETATION REVOLUTION received coverage from the newspapers ‘La Stampa’, ‘La Repubblica’, ‘Il Sole 24ore’, and the radio programs ‘Radio 3 Scienza’, ‘Caterpillar’ and RaiTre.

THE TOUGH CITY AND THE UTOPIAN CITY

October 7-11, 2009 - Turin Exposition Hall

Two large video-installations with 17 projectors and four 12x5 m. surfaces for the projections.

Using images, sounds and words, this video-installation tells of the contrast between the contemporary city (made up of industrial rhythms, inorganic materials, right angles, the color gray, energy consumption, individual traffic and competition) and the imagined city (based upon vegetation, natural rhythms, organic materials, curves, colors, cooperation and saving energy).

Sound edited by SUBSONICA.

The second appointment involves two large video-installations entitled THE TOUGH CITY and THE UTOPIAN CITY, using a total of 17 projectors and four 12x5 m. projection surfaces.
